Research in the field of wireless communication technology points to a whole range of health hazards. Mobile phone radiation can cause considerable damage to biological systems, especially in the case of long-term exposure, and studies are showing that the effects already begin far below the legal limits and have a health relevance that should not be underestimated. The evolution of humans, flora and fauna, and thus the entire biosphere, is in no way adapted to artificially-pulsed high-frequency radiation exposure. In fact, nature has kept the frequency ranges, which are used today for wireless communication with high-frequency artificial microwaves, free for the maintenance of communication between billions of body cells. Multifunctional health effects can result, whether it be performance degradation, insomnia, or cancer, especially with long-term exposure to radiation. That's why we advocate wired devices instead of wireless technologies in the workplace. The current radiation protection limits do not offer any safety because they only take into account harmful thermal effects on the body, but not biological effects (non-thermal effects).
Why do you actually need WLAN or Bluetooth? Wired technology opens up sustainable alternatives for offices and homes, even for tablets and cell phones.
For us, the most modern and secure IT technologies are a matter of course for the benefit of our customers. This includes our consulting services on topics such as building planning or shielding.
In the case of "electrosmog", popularly known as artificial electron-magnetic radiation exposure, three different sources must be considered:
Exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (EMF) is in the microwave frequency range between 80 Mhz and 80 Ghz. EMF emitters include mobile phone standards 3G-5G, WLAN, DECT, Bluetooth, smart meters and conventional IoT equipment. Our goal: to achieve radiation exposure below 1 μW/m2 indoors and below 10 μW/m2 outdoors.

Exposure to low-frequency alternating electric fields (ELF-EF) caused by insufficiently shielded electrical installations, cables, distributors, plugs and lights. Our goal: to achieve a reduction in radiation exposure of less than 10 V/m during the day and 1 V/m at night

Low frequency magnetic field exposure (ELF-MF is emitted, for example, from power lines, wireless charging, transformers, or office and household appliances. Our goal: to reduce radiation exposure to below 100 nT (1 mG).

Consequences of the Wireless Infrastructure
Compared with wired devices, the use of mobile communications is initially convenient and inexpensive to purchase; however, this leads overall to an enormous increase in radiation exposure due to electrosmog, especially microwaves. This results in health risks, which are confirmed by mobile communications research. The evolution of humans, flora and fauna, has not yet been able to adapt within the last 120 years in which electrosmog has been generated. Multifunctional symptoms, ranging from poor performance, lack of drive, ADHD, autism, headaches, immune deficiency, to cancer, accumulate when people are permanently exposed to high-frequency pulsed radiation. Therefore, more and more people suffer from chronic electrohypersensitivity (EHS).
From a multitude of independent study results, an overall picture emerges that makes mobile radio a worrisome technology, more dangerous than the consequences of tobacco consumption or the exposure to asbestos.
This picture is confirmed by the EMF portal of the Aachen Research Center for Electromagnetic Environmental Compatibility (femu) of the Institute for Occupational, Social and Environmental Medicine of the University Hospital RWTH Aachen. This portal was commissioned by the German government, and is considered the world's largest literature database on the effects of electromagnetic fields, with an inventory of about 28,000 publications and well over 6,000 summaries of individual scientific studies, including 1,500 studies on mobile communications.
Another government-independent database, EMF:data, provides an overview of the research situation radiation emitted by cell phones, smart phones, tablet PCs, WLAN routers, DECT phones and other mobile applications with about 600 evaluated cell phone studies (reviews). Say No to Wireless
With the ever-expanding wireless infrastructure, with the further expansion of the 4G mobile communications standard, and especially with the roll-out of the novel 5G mobile technologies, maintaining the performance and health of your employees also takes on a whole new meaning.
Against this backdrop, we strive to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation from wireless radio as much as possible. Even manufacturers of routers and mobile communications devices now warn against harmful radiation exposure.
To reduce radiation exposure, wired technologies should be used. For example, "SafeG" stands for secure, reliable and fast Internet and telecommunications brought to our homes and businesses via wired technology. This protects our health, privacy, and provides security from hacker attacks.
Health ⇄ IT Footprint: Compared to wireless, wired communication offers faster & more stable data transmission (without interruptions) with shorter latency and significantly more reliable data transmission, regardless of distance. Wired connections are more sustainable because they consume on average 10 times less power than wireless connections and the hardware needs to be replaced less often.

The older CAT-5e Ethernet cable from the 90's still allows a transmission speed of 10 Gigabit at a length of 45 meters.

Current network cables with the CAT 8 standard even allow a transmission speed of 40 Gigabit at a length of 15 meters.
Fiber optic cables allow for virtually unlimited speeds.
The transmission speed of light is and remains much higher than that of wireless/microwaves.
Health ⇄ IT Security: WLAN always offers potential security gaps compared to wired connections (LAN), because radio signals can be intercepted & manipulated. WLAN access can consequently never be completely secured outside buildings. WLAN, if used at all, therefore, should always be secured within closed LAN networks, each in an OPEN quarantine network.
Health ⇄ Privacy: Wired connections (LAN) offer the best possible data security. If you use WLAN or Bluetooth, no reputable IT service provider can guarantee the protection of your personal data. Improved Employee Performance - According to IBM research, there are 22% more macOS users who exceed expectations in performance reviews than there are Windows users. In addition, 16% more "high value sales deals," or sales with particularly high conversions, are generated by Apple users.
Higher Employee Satisfaction and Retention - The so-called Net Promoter Score, which the group uses to measure the likelihood of employees speaking positively about their employer (and thus recommending it to potential new employees and customers), was significantly higher among Mac users - 47.5 points to 15 points among Windows users. In addition, Apple users are 17 percent less likely to leave IBM again. Mac users are also more satisfied with the available third-party software at IBM. Only 5 percent would like to see add-on programs from the IT department, compared to 11 percent for Windows users.

How do we do it? Our own BIO-certification
We inventory our customers' entire information technology (IT), all technical and also so-called "smart" devices and then divide them into four groups:
- BIO HH Cl 1 OK :: The device is OK and can be put into operation without further attention, e.g. a server device connected to a network via Ethernet or fiber optics. It is ensured that no radiating transmitters are in operation.
- BIO HH Cl 2 SW :: The device is only OK if software-wise the associated radiating transmitters are actually switched off and remain switched off. In this case, after a measurement, such devices can also be put into operation. For example, with notebooks, it should be regularly checked that Bluetooth and WLAN are completely switched off.
- BIO HH Cl 3 HW :: The device is partially okay, but only if all transmitters are removed or completely shielded internally. This assumes that the device can be operated via cable and the device is still operational without WLAN.
- BIO HH Cl 4 FAIL: The device cannot be fixed, because it simply does not work without radiation. We recommend to abandon all devices that are not functional without radiation. However, you can use iPhones and iPads by cable and without radiation.
After the hardware inventory, we measure the radiation exposure at all workplaces, recreation rooms, technical rooms, etc.. In doing so, we examine all three groups of electromagnetic radiation: We are guided here by the standard of building biology measurement technology (SBM 2015). From experience, we have created the following standards for maximum values at the workplace:
- BIO HM EMF: High-frequency electromagnetic exposure ≤ 1 μW/m2
- BIO HM ELF LF: Low-frequency alternating electric field exposure ≤ 10 V/m
- BIO HM ELF MF: Low frequency alternating magnetic fields exposure ≤ 100 nT (1 mG)
In places where people and animals spend several hours per day, the resulting collective exposure should be contained.
In private areas, the focus here is on the bedrooms as a place of regeneration.
For loads outside buildings, such as mobile phone masts or radiating devices from neighbors, we propose suitable shielding measures.
